Portuguese company Indebrief will handle giant GE turbines in the world’s largest marine park – Energia

Endiprev, a Portuguese company specializing in providing services for onshore and offshore wind turbines, announced this fourth exhibition in which it was chosen by GE Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of North American General Electric (for the production of energy systems from renewable sources), to provide support for two projects in the United Kingdom. And the United States of America.

It is the world’s largest offshore wind farm – Dogger Bank, in the UK – and also the Vineyard Wind Farm, the first long-term wind energy project in the United States. “After commissioning the Saint-Nazaire wind farm, the first long-scale project in France, we once again see GE’s confidence in more than two very important projects,” said Thiago Ornelas, responsible for business development at GE. IndieBrief Group.

On the British Dogger Bank project, Endiprev will have dedicated equipment for the park committee and will be responsible for problem solving throughout the project. The company, which concluded a three-year contract for this project, reveals that “in the initial phase, more than 40 technicians will be mobilized.” This will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea and will have an installed capacity of 3.6 gigawatts, or enough to power six thousand homes annually. The project will consist of 190 General Electric Haliade-X wind turbines with a capacity of 13 megawatts. The project’s three phases extend until 2026. In the United States, the Portuguese company will provide engineering services to operate the wind farm located about 30 kilometers off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, with the installation of an 800 megawatt wind farm, capable of supplying 400,000 homes with electricity. It will be powered by 84 13 MW Haliade-X wind turbines. This project arises from Endiprev’s previous contract to operate and maintain the Block Island wind farm pilot project, also in the United States. During this project, the company will mobilize between 80 to 120 technicians.
