Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal's chemistry takes center stage in new photos

Searchlight Pictures has released new photos from Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal’s LGBTQIA+ film. We are all strangers.

On January 26, 2024, UK moviegoers will finally be able to enjoy the highly anticipated fantasy drama written and directed by acclaimed creator Andrew Hay.

Based on the novel Strangers Written by Japanese novelist Taichi Yamada, the film follows screenwriter Adam (Scott) as his monotonous daily life changes forever after he has the chance to meet his mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal).

The official synopsis reads: “As their relationship develops, Adam is disturbed by flashbacks and drawn to the suburbs where he grew up and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) appear to be alive, just as they were on the day they died 30 years ago.”

In recent months, the film has generated buzz among LGBTQIA+ film fans and received a warm reception at several film festivals.

At the time of writing this article, We are all strangers It has a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics praised the film’s poignant story, Mescal and Scott’s chemistry, and Hay’s direction.

While regular moviegoers will have to wait a few more months for its wide release, Searchlight Pictures has released new images from the film to entertain viewers.

In two of the 11 shots, the chemistry between Mescal and Scott’s characters is evident as they gaze lovingly into each other’s eyes.

We also get a new look at the characters of Foy and Bell, who appear to be dealing with the emotional fallout of their mysterious return.

Finally, the new photo set features stunning shots of Mescal and Scott shirtless.

“When I wrote the script, I had this house in mind, and then I went back there, and I went to the door, and they said, ‘Yes, well, you can film here.’”
