With the aim of submitting the degree of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Technologies for evaluation, in order to obtain subsequent accreditation, the authorities of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), held a meeting with the evaluation team of the National Accreditation Commission Council for Education of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Technologies, AC (Conevet).
At this meeting attended by officials of the central administration, such as the person in charge of the rectory office, Dr. Robespierre Lizarraga Otero, the coordinator of the Confit Accreditation Commission, Dr. Eduardo Sánchez López, indicated that the purpose of his visit was to conduct an on-site verification of the operating conditions of the educational program.
“What it seeks, in this case, is to know whether the educational program is ongoing because it has already been accredited on one occasion with the quality standards that were established with Conevet, necessary to achieve maximum quality in the education of veterinarians in the field of animal husbandry in the future,” he explained. .
The professor from the Research Institute of Veterinary Sciences of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), accompanied by the evaluation team, explained that this evaluation consists of a documentary and personal review of various indicators to later determine whether the program meets the standards. quality standards in place, which he said does not rule out this being the case.
He also stated that they are close to completing the visit aspect, but they will continue to review the indicators and all information, so he hopes that in a maximum period of two months they will be able to obtain the result of the visit. evaluation.
“It is a high-quality educational programme, which has been explained on a previous occasion, what we observe, we notice progress, areas of opportunities, but the procedure we follow requires a very detailed evaluation of everything we observe and that will lead to the opinion,” he highlighted.
Regarding the fight to defend the university’s autonomy maintained by USU in the face of constant attacks by the Sinaloa state government, he expressed his full support for the more than a century-old institution and expressed that, “When the university was made autonomous, One university attacked “It attacks the independence of all of us.”
