The X Excelencias Gourmet gastronomic seminar will be held in Cuba

Under the slogan “Spanish Gastronomy: American Fusions and Projections”, the 10th Excelencias Gourmet International Gastronomy Symposium will be held from October 11 to 13 in this capital.

The event, which will be held at the Tropicana nightclub, will bring together more than 40 distinguished culinary professionals from eight countries, according to José Carlos de Santiago, President of the Excelencias Group.

During a press conference at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, he expressed the need to promote Ibero-American gastronomy and said that the event would be a unique opportunity to learn about new trends in Spanish cuisine.

Angel Martin Peces, Spanish Ambassador to the largest island of the Antilles, praised the work of the Excelencias Group in Cuba for nearly 25 years and touched on the historical ties that unite the two countries.

The symposium, whose agenda consists of panel discussions, conferences and master classes, will be an opportunity to exchange experiences between owners and managers of restaurants, companies and hotels, from the governmental and non-governmental sectors. There will also be a competition to select the Bartender X Seminario and Cook 25th Anniversary of Excelencias categories.

The chefs who will gather in Havana next month come from Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Peru and Venezuela.
