peace, Baja California SurOn Thursday, September 14, the circulatory room of the District General Hospital of Family Medicine (HGZ/MF) No. 1 began operating in… peace; Head of the Medical Care Unit, Dr Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Dr. Efrain Arizmendi Uribe, an interventional cardiologist, successfully performed four cardiac catheterizations.
Of these procedures, two were therapeutic with coronary angioplasty and endovascular stenting (stenting) and two were diagnostic, with all four having successful outcomes.
Accompanied by interventional cardiologist Andrés García Rincon, General Director of the Specialized Hospital of the Superior Medical Unit (UMAE) of the National Medical Center (CMN) “La Raza” in Mexico City and a multidisciplinary health team, Arizmendi Uribe verifies the accuracy and optimal performance of angiography and other Techniques needed for these procedures.
The new hemodynamics service at HGZ/MF No. 1, in La Paz, will offer timely diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, services that were previously indicated in other states of the Republic.
The head of IMSS in the state of Baja California Sur, Dr. Juan Gilberto Pérez Soltero, noted that thanks to the instructions of the Director General of IMSS Mtro. Zoe Robledo, the equipment was manufactured at the tertiary care hospital, in order to reduce patient mortality and improve the quality of life in beneficiaries with acute myocardial infarction.
