Words from the Europeans when the United Nations says, according to the German newspaper Bild, that it is negotiating with the Russian authorities regarding the resumption of the grain agreement. The Germans’ news came based on a letter from United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, which he sent on August 28 to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In it, Guterres proposes that the Russian authorities, in exchange for resuming the grain agreement, conclude a four-point agreement between the United Nations and the Russian Federation.
This is after the United Kingdom confirmed that it will monitor the Black Sea to deter Russia from attacking shipping ships. British military and security services will monitor the Black Sea in a bid to deter Russia from attacking cargo ships carrying grain from Ukraine to developing countries. In addition, London will host a Global Food Security Summit in November.
