The talented player from Durango, Alexia Alvarado Blanco, is currently defending the colors of Mexican basketball and, of course, the colors of Durango, in the basketball tournament that takes place in the United States.
It is about the basketball tournament that takes place in Houston, Texas. There are teams of Texas and D1 GIRLS, which are reinforced by Alexia, selected along with 7 other players: Paola, Ana Paula, Mariana, Camila, Noelia, Ana Victoria and Melissa.
Before that, they spent a week docking in Aguascalientes and from there they left to venture into Texas.
Alexia is led by trainers Cesar Landin and Cesar Landin JR. and Alonso Landín, creators of D1 Sport Solutions, which focuses on developing the talents of basketball players to provide them with scholarship opportunities in both the United States and Mexico. This project has already successfully integrated 5 Dallas scholarship holders and 3 Tec de Monterrey scholarship holders.
In an interview with El Sol de Durango, Alexia from the United States shared: “Being part of D1 and representing Mexico is very exciting. It was a great experience, because this project conveys energy, a different attitude and vision of basketball. Where you know you can do more than you can imagine.”
She added, “It was very interesting to represent Mexico in this tournament, because the matches we participated in were very competitive and exciting. My team and I gave our best, with a positive attitude, and we got excellent results,” concluded the talented Alexia Alvarado Blanco.
