AMD bought Starfield

In case you didn’t know, Starfield is a space exploration and adventure game. We will have a huge universe of worlds to explore, inhabited by about 1000 different species.

The game developed by Bethesda is not without controversy. The biggest one is that Microsoft apparently bought the game’s developer to make it an Xbox exclusive. Initially, according to rumors, Starfield was going to be a PS5 exclusive, which Microsoft didn’t like.

The latest “controversy” regarding Starfield

AMD It seems very interested In this Bethesda game That could be a huge boost to their sales. They have created packages of processors and graphics cards with which they will deliver their version of the game. But in addition to that, as we commented, only FSR will support starting.

Surprisingly, AMD has issued a series of requirements to play starfield independent of the officers. these requirements Just think of the processors AMD Ryzen 7000 and cards graphics of buildings RDNA 2 and RDNA 3. Specifically, they tell us that:

  • 1080p resolution: Ryzen 5 7600 processor, RX 7600 graphics card, and A620 chipset motherboard recommended
  • 1440p resolution: We’re told the best combination is the Ryzen 7 7700 processor, RX 6800 graphics card, and B650 chipset.
  • 4K resolution: Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, RX 7900 XT graphics card, and X670 chipset recommended here

As suggested by AMD Marketing DepartmentYou won’t see solutions from the competition. But this recommendation is far from the official requirements of the Steam page. here they are:

  • Minimum requirements
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
  • recommended requirements
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM

AMD’s recommendation seems to be based on the packages they created for the game. It’s not really crazy ingredient combinations, just well balanced. However, you can save money if you are looking for alternatives between the official requirements and AMD’s recommendation.

There has not been a quiet week since the match was announced

True, the game does not need advertising, it already gives enough to speak for itself. Despite the fact that since its announcement we don’t know we’ve seen much of the game or its mechanics, it always remains on everyone’s lips.

Its requirements generated controversy because they recommended getting an SSD. One wonders, what is strange? What is rare is to find some gaming PC that does not have an SSD drive installed.

Shortly thereafter, I will be using AMD FSR, the free and open source alternative to NVIDIA DLSS. Then, if it’s going to be a PS5 exclusive that’s why Microsoft bought Bethesda, so that it doesn’t appear on Sony’s console.

Now, will it be the last “controversy” before the game is released?

Note to the reader: Understand that all these controversies seem rather absurd to us, especially this last one. The truth is, we don’t care, we have a crazy desire to try it.
