Venezuela and China reviewed bilateral agreements

CARACAS, June 8 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela and China today reviewed the bilateral agreements they are working to advance in the interest of both peoples and affirmed their willingness to continue to contribute to building a multipolar world and respecting the right to self-determination.

This came from a meeting at the Yellow House in Antonio José de Sucre between the Deputy Secretary of State for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh, with the Asian nation’s ambassador to Caracas, Lan Ho, which aims to strengthen cooperative relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations stated that mutual support between the two countries is the flag of bilateral relations and is exemplified by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic.

He stressed that due to the impossibility of freely accessing the Caribbean country to purchase medicines and supplies to deal with the virus, due to the imposition of unilateral coercive measures, China showed its support by sending medical supplies, surgical materials and more than six. million vaccines.

A press release indicated that relations between Caracas and Beijing began in 1974 and thanks to the comprehensive and multicentric vision of Commander Hugo Chavez (1954-2013), since 1999, he has strengthened cooperation relations between these countries and turned them into a strategic alliance.

From this point of view, he noted, the China-Venezuela high-level mixed committee was born in 2001, which emerged from 16 meetings that allowed the signing of 502 agreements.
