The actor, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia earlier this year, is supported by his family, including his 9-year-old daughter, Evelyn.
Heming Willis posted a video on Instagram explaining the latest on her husband’s health.
He said, “So I have to tell you this story, and I will try to do it without crying.” “Because when Evelyn told me this story, I was an absolute puddle.”
In addition, he explained, his daughter researched “fun facts about dementia” and made a list at school for her father.
Hemming Willis continued, “Now that’s not funny, but it’s kind of funny. And she’s really her daddy’s daughter because those two love some weird things. So I said, ‘Evelyn, we’re always going to make sure Daddy has a bottle of water in his hand.’ Thanks for letting me know. But this is the most loving and compassionate thing you can do: be curious and educate yourself about your father’s illness.”
The couple also shares an 11-year-old daughter, Mabel. Willis is the father of daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, with ex-wife Demi Moore. It became very recently for the first time.
