Al Jazeera’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Twitter that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, will visit Cuba on April 19.
Lavrov is on a tour that will take him from the 17th to the 21st to Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua and this Caribbean country to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade, economic, educational, humanitarian, cultural and other fields.
His agenda will include meetings with the leaders of these countries, in addition to negotiations with the relevant foreign ministers.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, these meetings will focus in the negotiations on strengthening the international legal foundations of the modern world, of which the United Nations Charter constitutes the basic framework.
The Russian source pointed out that Latin America is a friendly region for Russia, and one of the training centers in a multipolar world, with which that country intends to establish a dynamic dialogue and develop constructive cooperation that is not subject to any external dictation. .
