Governor David Monreal appoints Sergio Casas as the new president of Sidesol; Will continue to promote social welfare

With the conviction to continue to promote the well-being of the Zacatecan population, Governor David Monreal Ávila appointed Sergio Casas Valades as the new head of the Secretariat for Social Development (Sedesol), who requested that efforts be redoubled to continue good results in terms of social policy.

The Chair stated that he had decided to grant the appointment in the hope that his talent and abilities would be in the interest of the Secretariat, good management and good results and thus for Zacatecas.

Since then, he has said that one of the foundations of his administration is caring for the most vulnerable, which is why in this new ruling, in coordination with the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he implemented the most important social policy in history. from Zacatecas.

In this sense, he asked the state official to continue to see work for the welfare of the people through various programs and actions that especially serve, among others, children, the elderly, and mothers who are the heads of the family and the people. People with disabilities, the latter in an important joint effort to give them the right to a lifetime pension.

The governor protested to the officials of the Secretariat to Casas Valades to serve the office with fidelity and patriotism, and to observe the law for the good of the state and society.

It should be noted that the Secretary of Social Development, Sergio Casas Valades, served until yesterday as a sub-delegate, Guadalupe Region, for the Delegation of Development Programs of the Government of Mexico.

He was also the head of the Government Coordination of Scholarships for the Welfare of Benito Juárez; He was previously the Director of the Clinical Specialties Unit at the Primary Addiction Care Center (Uneme-Capa).

Regarding his academic training, Casas Valadez is a surgeon from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ), he holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in Public Health and Hospital Management.
