As University Rector Sarafin Ortiz, who was accompanied by members of the administrative structure of the institution, pointed out, in the highest institution of studies in the entity, the guarantees of students are respected, who will always be protected from harassment and harassment, for this reason he warned that measures that are consistent with the university will be taken when The occurrence of any of these practices, where the university’s values of complete freedom, equality, security and respect for human dignity prevail.
The main agreements reached were that the student accused of harassment had already been discharged by a collective decision from the four knowledge departments of the UATx; The security issue will continue to be addressed in cooperation with the Zacatelco City Council and the National Guard; As for the scholarships, this point will be reviewed based on the financial conditions of the UATx, since it should be noted that a quarter of the students, to date, receive this benefit in any of its modalities.
Likewise, within the powers conferred by the University’s regulations, the Rector appointed Aurora García García as Director Responsible for the College of Health Sciences, for the remainder of the current term.
It is important to point out that, through the secretariats of the University of Tlaxcalan, the 14 agreements reached in this dialogue will be fast-tracked.
