St. Petersburg has confirmed its membership in the World Tourism Alliance

According to a report by the TVBRICS network, the WTA has also accepted the Committee for the Tourism Development of the well-known Northern Capital of Russia as a member in the “Organizations” category.

Saint Petersburg is one of the most attractive Russian cities for tourists. Its unique history, architecture, wonderful museums and theatres, culture and urban spirit provide an almost endless stream of tourists from all over the world.

The city is developing tourist infrastructure, creating thematic attractions and doing a lot to promote and strengthen the reputation of the northern capital as one of the main tourist centers of Russia.

The certificates were handed over to the different categories in Hangzhou, China, on the sidelines of the second WTA General Assembly during the main event: International Tourism Forum Xianghu Dialogue.

Russian Consul General in Shanghai Dmitry Lukyantsev received the certificates on behalf of the city. The Global Tourism Alliance is an international non-profit organization that emerged in 2017 with the aim of cooperating in the field of tourism development.

Headquartered in China, the WTA includes national federations, corporations, cities, media organizations, international organizations, and higher education institutions.
