The publication added that the FNC and Cuba certified on the first day of the trial, the day before, that the suing entity, the vulture fund identified as CRF I Limited, was not and is not a creditor.

According to the timetable disclosed to the press, the Cuban side will testify on behalf of the BNC and its President, Joscelín Río Alvarez, and on behalf of the Cuban Government, the First Deputy Minister of Finance and Prices, Vladimir Reguero Alli, as well as other witnesses who will appear via videoconference.

Final reports are due to be submitted to the parties on February 1 and 2.

He added the information that both the BNC and the Cuban state have British experts and well-known lawyers from a reputable Spanish law firm in their defense team.

Cuba and its financial institutions have periodically declared that they have never neglected contracted debts, as long as they are valid, legal, enforceable, enforceable, and binding, and have always maintained the interest of negotiation with those entities that are legitimate creditors.
