Celac was formally established in February 2010, during the Unity Summit in Cancún, and is made up of 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“It is dedicated to promoting political dialogue, building consensus and regional cooperation on a wide range of issues, including food and energy security, health, social inclusion, sustainable development, digital transformation and infrastructure integration,” the statement added. chancellery.

He stressed that Brazil’s return to the community of Latin American nations is “a fundamental step to reshape our diplomatic heritage and fully reintegrate the country into international coexistence.”
