When do Ecuadorian teams start moving in their previous seasons?

Ecuadorian teams are gradually resuming their pre-season activities, with the aim of the 2023 national championship, after the end of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

LigaPro has not officially set the exact date for the start of the competition, but has announced that it will be in February. It is informally said that the first day will take place between the tenth and thirteenth day of that month.

Some Ecuadorian teams started their preparatory work in December 2022, but paralyzed their activities due to the festivities. With the advent of the new year, clubs resume their activities.

Most clubs will carry out their work within the country, with the exception of Barcelona and Emelec, who plan to continue their preparations in the United States and Argentina, respectively. Here are some tables:

Quito University

The albo team started pre-season on January 3, 2022 with medicals at the Pomasqui Complex. The Lilies plan to do their work in Quito and will hold a friendly in Colombia.

Okas

The Ecuadorian champions kicked off their pre-season at Estadio Gonzalo Pozo, on December 5. After completing the festivities period, they will resume activity on January 4th in the same stronghold of the capital.

Valley Independent

The striped team, Copa Sudamericana champions, started with medicals on December 3 at the Cello Gijón complex. They will tour Uruguay and Argentina with friendlies, which will complement their work in Sancolque.

Barcelona

The Ecuadorean vice-champion started pre-season in Guayaquil at the beginning of December and was suspended on the 23rd of that month. According to the plan, those managed by Fabian Bustos will meet on January 4, 2023 and after five days they will travel to Miami, United States.

Emelec

Miguel Rondelli’s renewed team worked out for two weeks in December. They are expected to meet on January 9 at the Samanis complex for medical check-ups and two days later they will travel to Argentina to prepare for their season.
