You may not be aware of this, but it has long been possible to report messages and contacts to WhatsApp in case you believe their terms of service have been violated. For example, when you report a user, you can choose to forward the last 5 messages from the conversation to WhatsApp, and also report individual messages. In order to make the messaging app a safer and more comfortable place for everyone, WhatsApp is fixing status updates that violate our terms of service. The update is coming soon with support for the status report feature for the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop.
