The educational program for medical surgeons offered by the UADY School of Medicine has been awarded dual accreditation, one by the Mexican Council for Accreditation of Medical Education (COMAMEE) and the other by the World Federation of Medical Education, which will give students options to continue studying abroad.

These two accreditations place it as one of the best unified schools, offering quality education to students in the area.

During the ceremony held in the Lic Hall. Benito Juárez García of that college, in front of students, academics, university authorities and the health sector, the president of the university, José de Jesús Williams, stated that students who decided to continue their studies in foreign schools in the USA or Europe, will have more chances to stay.

“This opens the door for UADY to receive more international students,” he said.

He pointed out that this distinction confirms the work done by the university based on its comprehensive training educational model (MEFI), with standards of quality and suitability.

The director of the college, Carlos Castor Sansoris, explained that in the case of his Bachelor of Medical Surgery, he was awarded for the fifth time the national certificate awarded by Komaim.

UADY College will be the second higher education institution to obtain this international degree in the southeastern region of the country.

He explained that achieving this international accreditation is a measurable reflection of the quality of the program and results in the commitment of teachers and the joint work of the unit.
