Bolivia warns Europe of climate crisis

“One of the crises that catches our attention the most is called the climate crisis, which is not the same as climate change. We must call a spade a spade,” he emphasized when revealing the topic of transcending division in order to live well.

The vice president emphasized that it is a crisis caused by a development model that cannot be solved with more capitalism, although this system is intended to masquerade as a “green or green economy”.

“We have to change capitalism,” Chuquehuanca insisted before European lawmakers, according to a memo distributed to the press by the vice president of the Plurinational State.

According to the source, the former President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, and Spanish MEP Mano Pineda, a member of the La Izquierda Alliance, were in the hall.

During his speech, Chuquihuanca criticized the promotion of green economy by developed countries.

He explained that they are creating networks by which to trap economically weak countries more precisely, but more effectively, “in new recolonization through carbon colonization,” and insisted that these issues should be discussed.

The vice president described that in carbon colonization, the so-called developed countries want to impose rules of conduct to counter what they call climate change with the climate crisis, “ignoring principles of equity and common but differentiated responsibilities.”

He stressed the importance of recognizing the rights of Mother Earth because that, in his opinion, would allow humanity to rediscover itself on the path of life, with nature and other living beings in a harmonious way.

He added that humans feed on Mother Earth’s milk, and “like plants and animals, we were raised by Mother Earth, we are brothers and that’s why we seek harmony with nature.”

Regarding the climate crisis, he identified Choquehuanca as an opportunity to restore the Wiphala symbols, a notation of the rainbow and the requirements of life towards the path of noble integration.

“From ancient cultures, symbols that allow us to hope that everything is not lost. Our ancestors embodied some symbols in Wiphala, which is not a simple science, but a symbolization of the rainbow. “The rainbow has no limits, it belongs to everyone,” he said.

“When we raise our Wiphalas we say we want a twin, we seek harmony,” concluded the vice president.
