Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, in the semi-finals

Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah had a good campaign at the US Open, claiming their fourth consecutive win at this edition, helping them settle into the semi-finals of the last Grand Slam of the year.

The Colombians beat England’s Lloyd Glasspool and Finland’s Harry Heliovara 7-6, 6-2, in a match that started evenly, but in which Cabal and Farah gained confidence to win the quarter-final match.

This is the tenth match the Colombians have achieved in a semi-final at a Grand Slam tournament, and the second this year, having reached this stage at Wimbledon, where they have not finally had the chance to reach the title match.

For a place in the final, they will face American duo Rajiv Ram and Britain’s Joe Salisbury, the favorites to win the title in this edition of the US Open.

The last two matches between these two pairs were the victory of Ram and Salisbury, at the Masters in 2021 and at Monte Carlo Masters this year.
