ISEM trained in highly specialized during the 1st Symposium in Emergency Medicine


To promote highly specialized medical care and clinical emergencies, the Institute of Health of the State of Mexico (ISEM) held the first symposium on emergency medicine, in which more than 500 workers assigned to the entity hospitals participated.

During the month of August, they carry out more than 20 academic activities both in real and in person (Image: private).

This activity was carried out in the General Hospital d. Nicolás San Juan”, in Toluca, within the framework of its 35th anniversary, was aimed at specialist and general physicians, nursing staff, paramedics, residents and students from health districts, in coordination with the Autonomous State University of Mexico (UAEM).

The first symposium featured more than 20 academic activities and speakers from national health institutes such as La Raza Medical Center and Juárez Hospital in Mexico.

Activities started with EEG monitoring workshop, there will be presentations related to emergency service forensics, sepsis code, heart attack and stroke, toxic animal epidemiology, management of poisoned patients, kidney assessment, pulmonary thromboembolism, emergency air transport, Multiple victims intervention, mechanical ventilation, to signal.

Among the more than 500 participants in this academic activity are specialists from ISEM, the Institute of Social Security of the State of Mexico and Municipalities (ISSEMyM), as well as from the National Institutes of Cardiology, Security and State Workers Social Services (ISSSTE) and Mexican Social Security (IMSS), as well as hospitals and clinics In the private sector.

The authorities that coordinated the event noted that after the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a shift in the expansion of specialized medical services while endorsing a commitment to education in the entity.

They added that, in conjunction with the medical center “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos” of ISEM, in the Toluca Valley, care is provided to approximately 3 million Mexicans, so liaison and emergency specialists are of paramount importance in the state health system.
