With the 6th Collaborative Summit of the Americas, in terms of the economic impact it will have at the national level, it is expected that $600,000 will be transferred, to be funded from the resources already created by the event that will boost the local economy, tourism, handicrafts, hotels and employment Logistics, technology, and a business network for the productive sector, according to Cesar Cruz Roa, Paraguay representative before the Regional Cooperative Council of the Americas of the Cooperative International (ACI).
It will be a space to show the value of cooperative work to the world, especially in Paraguay, showcasing the work of cooperatives for savings and credit, housing, education, services, work, production and more, representatives of local organizers emphasized during the meeting held at the Eta Enramada Convention Center, of the cooperative university , which included 400 sector leaders.
The Sixth Collaborative Summit of the Americas expects 1,200 people to participate in person and approximately 800. The event’s theme is: “A collaborative commitment to rebuilding and nurturing our local and global community.”
In addition to the Sixth Collaborative Summit of the Americas, which will take place October 24-27, 2022 at Luque in the Conference Center of Conmebol Headquarters, the mega event includes the holding of the Eighth Continental Law Conference scheduled for October 27. October 29 at the fifth Ykua Sati.

“In the different hubs, we will all feel represented. The production cooperatives, to which I belong, will be in the hubs of climate change, sustainable production, and we will give all the examples we have in Paraguay to be able to proudly say that we are making and producing food for the world and we Rural cooperatives in Paraguay (Concobar), to do so in a sustainable way.
All details of the academic field were provided by the Director of the Federation of Cooperatives of Paraguay (Fecopar), Nelson del Puerto, who reported on national and international speakers and references on the issues that make up the summit, which are collaborative identity, economic revitalization, sustainability and climate change. He said that parallel meetings are planned in different workshops, and the participants will be able to choose which one to participate in, according to the area of interest of their entity. Regarding gender equality, which was a major focus during the meeting, as a challenge it posed to the sector, it was stated: “Cooperatives as social entities, with values, with doctrines that address this issue and thus support the community, reported to Miriam Páez Rojas, President of the Savings Credit Cooperative Federation ( Fecoac).
“In the election year, the members of the cooperatives will demonstrate the values of solidarity and mutual assistance that greatly benefit the community,” said Jorge Cruz Roa, President of the Confederation of Multi-Active Cooperatives of Paraguay (Vicomolo).
Referring to the challenge of economic and social recovery two years after the pandemic, Carlos Núñez Aguero, President of the Paraguayan Federation of Cooperatives (COMPACOOP), said that this space would help create new mechanisms for economic revitalization through a solidarity approach.
