The largest number of applications for participation in the state program for training youth in prestigious universities in foreign countries for the year 2022-2026 was submitted by universities in Turkey, the UK, the USA, Belgium and Italy.
Turan Topalova, head of the state program management team for 2019-2023, said this in an interview with journalists, AZERTAC reports. He pointed out that most of the applications are related to the disciplines of engineering, finance, economics and information technology.
On February 28, 2022, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order approving the state program for youth education in the world’s most prestigious universities for the period 2022-2026. The goal of the state program is to provide annually up to 400 students studying in prestigious higher educational institutions abroad in 2022-2026, and a total of up to 2,000 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At least 80% of study places in foreign higher education centers will cover master’s programmes.
