Barlatino disavows a decision on Venezuelan gold in the UK

The head of the Venezuelan parliamentary group in the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (GPVPL), Angel Luis Rodriguez Gamboa, has expressed his total rejection of the decision of the High Court in London to keep Venezuelan gold deposited in the Bank of England with custody.

He urged the Latin-Caribbean community to express their unease and rejection of what could be described as “colonial piracy with new type piracy”.

In the opinion of the parliamentarian, the opinion of the High Court in London, the goal is to deprive the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of assets no less important than gold.

Venezuelan assets deposited in the British Bank still belong to Venezuelans. We support the steps taken by the Central Bank of Venezuela to restore our wealth and we are sure that justice will prevail,” Rodriguez said.

He referred to it as “big nonsense” to acknowledge the extremist and radical opponents who have caused so much damage to Venezuela. “The opposition destroys everything it touches, and the proof of that is Citgo and the destruction of Colombo Venezuela Monomeros.”

The plane was held in Argentina

Rep. Angel Rodriguez also questioned the situation faced by Emtrasur, a Conviasa subsidiary, and its crew, who were arbitrarily kept in Argentina, AVN Review

“It appears to be a compromise by extremist sectors to influence Venezuela, because there is no legal justification for keeping this Venezuelan plane on Argentine soil,” Rodriguez said.

He maintains that the action against the Emtrasur aircraft is an absurd decision on the part of Argentina, which also violates international civil aviation regulations and aviation law.
