Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Florence Beau wants the world to know that she is proud of her body, including her nipples.
The “Black Widow” actress has responded to the “aggressive” and “vulgar” criticism she received after sharing a photo on social media of the sheer dress she wore at the Valentino haute couture show in Rome.

Pugh made a bold move on Friday in a pink tulle dress. And while many fans loved her, critics disagreed that her nipples were visible.
The 26-year-old British star revealed, in an impassioned Instagram post, that she was bombarded with negative messages about the dress and her body.
According to Pugh, while she was expecting “comments” on her choice of outfit, it was interesting to witness how easily “men can completely destroy a woman’s body, in public, with pride.”
She wrote to her friends: “This is not the first time, and certainly won’t be the last, that a woman has heard what is wrong with her body from a crowd of strangers, what is worrying is how vulgar some men are.” 7.5 million followers on Instagram.

Beau went on to say that she accepted “the complexities of my body” and was satisfied with “all the ‘flaws’ I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14, before responding to the naysayers.”
She wrote: “Many of you strongly wanted to tell me how disappointed you are in my ‘small breasts’, or how ashamed I should be for being ‘flat-chested,’ adding, ‘I’ve lived in my body for so long. I am fully aware of my breast size and it doesn’t scare me.”
In her plea to social media users who physically shame her, she wrote, “What’s more disturbing… why are you so afraid of breasts? Are they small, big, left, right, is there only one? Maybe nothing? What or What. Is it. Too scary?”
He then advised those who left derogatory comments on his post to “Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans.”
Pogue capped her post by alluding to Instagram’s ban on nipple photos, adding the hashtag “#f**kingfreethef**kingnipple.”

Pugh’s post was praised by her fans and other celebrities, who left messages of support. Actress Joy King wrote: “You are really amazing. You describe in words what many feel but cannot express.”
“That’s what I’ve been saying,” said actress Aubrey Plaza.
Television personality and social commentator Jamila Jamil wrote: “You are a magical queen and we don’t deserve you.”
