Los Van Van will conclude the first day of the Salsa Festival in Bogotá

The famous Cuban orchestra Los Van Van concludes today the first day of the Salsa al Parque Festival in Bogota, which will bring together important foreign and Colombian orchestras.

Three years later, Plaza de Bolívar will receive this festivity which is considered one of the most important traditional events in Bogotá, bringing the community together to the sound of live music and dances.

The first edition of Salsa al Parque was held in 1997 and was an idea from the region’s Institute of Culture and Tourism, where the Cuban group NG La Banda was one of the first foreign bands to take part in the festival.
