This afternoon, President Pedro Castillo received the credentials of the Ambassadors of the Republic of El Salvador, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United Mexican States.

The ceremony was held in the Golden Hall of the Government Palace and was attended by Foreign Minister Cesar Landa.

The handing over of credentials began with the Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador, Pablo Caballero Pineda, who conveyed to the Head of State Pedro Castillo, the greetings of the President of his country, Najib Bukele, and the Salvadoran people.

Then came the ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Gavin Douglas Cook, who wished the Peruvian people prosperity. “I bring the greetings of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and I wish the people of Peru prosperity and friendship between our two countries,” the diplomat said.

Finally, the Ambassador of the United States of Mexico, Pablo Monroy Conesa, continued extending to the President of Peru warm greetings to his President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, and the Mexican people.

Following the ceremony, the Head of State, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, received each of the three ambassadors accredited to the country in a private meeting.
