Moussa Sissoko believes Jose Mourinho is turning Tottenham into winners. Midfielder scored in 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Brentford On Tuesday, like everyone at the club, they are determined to bring in their first title since 2008.
When the chairman of the board, Daniel Levy, appointed Mourinho in November 2019, the aim was to build on the work of Mauricio Pochettino and take the last step towards titles. No manager has won the title more, and Mourinho knows how being successful in competition can strengthen the team’s mentality. Sissoko says Tottenham should finish what they started and win the final on April 25th.

We are still in the race for the league, we have the other cup we are playing and also the European League, and there are a lot of things to do with the team this season. Sissoko’s goal against Brentford was his first since December 2019. “I would like to score more goals and provide more assists, but it depends on the system we are playing,” he said. “Against Brentford, I was playing number 6 without the ball but with the ball, I was higher – another number 8 with Tangwe [Ndombele].
“That’s why I can be on top and do it when [Sergio] Regilon occasional for me and scored. It is easier to score when I enter the penalty area than to play as number 6. “
