In order to promote the active participation of students of the University Study Center Xochicalco (CEUX) in solving community health problems at the local, national and international level, the 10th week of Medicine 2021 COVID-19: A Life Experience will be held from October 11-13.
Simitrio Rojas Vergara, Director of the Faculty of Medicine, indicated that the activities will be carried out through the social networks of the institution from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, in which a space will be created where students and the general public can exchange experiences. and views on current issues that have been presented in this field.
Expert Conferences
He noted that Medicine Week 2021 will hold conferences led by local medical experts who will share their knowledge of the virus that causes Covid-19.
Among the conferences, he said, the keynote address State Impact Covid-19, given by Nstor Sal Hernndez, an epidemiologist, stands out; Local Epidemiological Panorama, by Mara Romero Salas, Public Health Educator; And the Covid-19 Panel: A Life Experience, led by Sergio Graf Daz, a pulmonologist, and Rubén Valades Martinez, a COVID-19 survivor.
Rojas Vergara added that the program will include a team of communication experts with expertise in Covid-19, led by representatives of local media who had the opportunity to cover the city’s pandemic chronology.
