The aim of this free proposal to the public and subsidized compulsory education centers in Pamplona, which takes into account the different educational stages, is to contribute to the realization of learning and skills by offering Supplementary Resources that improve the quality of teaching. All the information was presented this morning in the Citizens Affairs Committee by the delegate of the Council for Education, Citizen Participation and Youth, Fernando Cisma.

Among the novelties of this course is “Mathematical Paths through Pamplona”, which, in collaboration with the Public University of Navarra, presents a proposal to show that mathematics is present in everyday life while giving value to educational programs of urban space. Six sports tracks covering the entire district will be designed so that educational centers have the opportunity to experience this mathematical learning in their closest environment. Each itinerary includes math problems that must be solved on site by 6th graders of primary and 2nd grade of secondary education. For this purpose, educational material and application adaptation will be prepared with an investment of about 5,000 euros. Other news.

Another novelty in the municipality’s proposal is the program of visits and workshops at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of Navarra (MUN), where early childhood, primary, secondary, baccalaureate and vocational training centers will choose one of the workshops. The municipal investment may reach a maximum of 9000 euros.

On the other hand, schools can display for 15 days the photo exhibition presented by the consort in the spring on clips and phrases to deconstruct racism and hold workshops on the same topic in parallel.

The news chapter concludes with a computer volunteer program that is being redeveloped which will be expanded to include issues of social networking use, time spent with screens, network security, etc. The goal is to train young volunteers (high school students, for example) so that they can carry out this work with their younger colleagues.

Maintain standard software

Presentation of educational programs in the field of education and citizen and youth participation maintains already standardized proposals such as “Let’s Read”, “Let’s Get to Know Pamplona” or “Theatrical Workshops in Primary Schools” which join more recent initiatives that will continue to be presented: “Lexit” and “Moving”.

They are joined by subsidy lines for extracurricular and supplementary activities, for activities organized by APYMAS, school libraries and exchangeable items or quizzes and competitions such as ‘Learning and Service’ competitions or children’s literature, the city council reported in a note.
