The Museum of Environmental Sciences is important because, unlike others, it will focus not only on the exhibits, but also on other areas: a community and educational development center, a scientific research institute and an open green area, like Eduardo Santana, Director of the Museum.
But to finish this work, in its first phase, 140 million pesos (MDP) is needed that the state government will return to the Civil Hospital of Oriente.
For the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), the museum is essential at a time when there is an unprecedented environmental crisis. This space will become a place to unite environmental education, scientific communication, and community development.
That’s why the university launched the “Let’s Go Both: Yes to Health, Yes to Education” campaign in order to collect 250,000 signatures asking the Jalisco government to reverse its intention to subtract 140 million pesos from the university’s budget.
