The UK will invest more than £730 million in the PEACE PLUS programme, which is expected to bring reconciliation, peace and economic stability to Northern Ireland.
According to the government, “PEACE PLUS is the successor to previous peace programs that have funded specific initiatives such as the Peace Bridge over the River Foyle and the renovation of the Girdwood Barracks site in North Belfast as a shared safe community space. People from different backgrounds can meet, relax and learn from each other.”
Speaking about the programme, Brandon Lewis, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland said: “Today’s announcement of more than £730 million for PEACE PLUS is a concrete example of the UK Government’s commitment to helping Ireland from the North reach its full potential as a thriving and stable party. .from the United Kingdom.

Funding for the program will be secured by 2027.
