Pilot project to reward sports practitioners

According to Mills, “The Health Incentive Scheme can be a vital tool in government plans to address health disparities and promote healthy behaviors; it is a great opportunity for businesses, the public sector, and the third sector to come together and offer an exciting new way to support people in adopting healthy habits.”

From this moment on, a period of time opens for companies interested in participating in this initiative to present innovative ideas. As part of the search for partners, the government is inviting interested parties to present themselves and bid on a £2m (€2.3m) contract, according to the contracting platform.

The successful exhibitor will partner with a number of organizations that can offer incentives that may include coupons, products, discounts, and gift cards to reward people for making healthy choices.
