Jalisco Security: Bones were found in a suitcase in Zapopan

A skeleton was found inside a suitcase on a road called New Renacer in Colonia Santa Lucia.

Around 3:10 p.m., Zapopan police found a bag in a ravine on one side of the dirt road, and when they searched they found a skeleton and the remains of clothing that could have been women.

The location of the remains is due to the fact that the Zapopan gendarmes received an anonymous tip that arrived at the 911 phone service booth.

The luggage was already damaged and the police could not explain its characteristics, and it is assumed that the body may have been at the site for more than two months.

The dirt road is on the hill and difficult to reach, the nearest town is Santa Lucia.

An agent of the Public Prosecution Office of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Jalisco went to the place that opened an investigation file for human remains, in addition to the arrival of employees of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences (IJCF) and carried out the corresponding expert opinion and transferred the skeleton of their offices to treat the identification of the victim through his dental record.

The IJCF must then hand over all the results of an expert opinion and investigation to the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Missing Persons to determine if he or she is a registered person.
