Facebook has decided to ban the accounts of former US President Donald TrumpWho disagreed with the company’s decision on Friday, considering it an insult to those who voted for him in 2020.
The Facebook measure, which began on January 7, must be extended until January 2023, that is, for two years Trump will not be able to use his pages and accounts on this social network.
In a statement quoted ReutersTrump says, “They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this Censorship and silencingAnd, in the end, we will win. Our country can no longer tolerate this violation.”
However, the company that leads Mark Zuckerberg was clear in his statement: “Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a A flagrant violation of our rules which deserve the highest penalty available under the new application protocols.”
The above refers to Trump’s incitement to rally his supporters when he did not want to acknowledge the outcome of the presidential election, a fact that led to the attack on the Washington Capitol in January of this year.
After the two-year suspension period in the social network, it will be assessed whether or not the billionaire was a risk in the matter that prompted the action, and if so, he may face permanent suspension of all of his pages and profiles.
The disgusting comment was Trump’s response that the next time he was in the White House, there was no dinner with Zuckerberg, but sincere business.
