We’ve found the best anime on Netflix to watch on a cold February night.
If you are looking for the best in anime, Netflix It is really the best service, the red giant has standardized a lot of premium content, all of them are accessible to everyone.
Seriously, go and check the selection – everything from blockbuster shows to specialty productions can be found underground depending on how deep you want to look.
With the weekend fast approaching, we can’t think of anything better to do than curl up on the sofa and put on some sci-fi animation, transporting ourselves into a world of vibrant color, epic battles and intrigue.
Shirogumi
The tone of this show is that the protagonist Daisuke, who is not an NGE Shinji at all (cough, cough), along with some of his high school friends are transported 300 years into the future, where they are later recruited to fight against a cyborg enemy known as the Revisions. “Nominal. How do Daisuke and his friends fight these giant enemies to save the world from destruction? Only with giant mechanical suits similar to a “thread puppet”, of course.
Yes, you see, everything resonates with NGE, but that does not mean that it is worth watching, especially if you are a fan of this subgenre. It is rumored that he will also have a second season.
Cowboy Bebop
Cowboy Bebop is really a great show, and it’s an absolutely excellent show.
A new sci-fi noir epic, everything about this show is fantastic, from the stunning graphic design to the characters and even the English dubbing, which follows the Ghibli model of being more than an afterthought. (Of course, purists will say you should only read the translation, which is fair.)
A commercial and critical success in Japan and then around the world, there’s a reason Netflix paid so much money to produce a live version (only to cancel it later after one season).
If the entire saga piqued your interest, go ahead and watch the original and enjoy its franchise. You will not regret.
sword art online
Closing the list is Sword Art Online, the television adaptation of the incredibly successful comic book series.
There are two series available on Netflix, both of which are excellent of course, and the basic premise is very appropriate given that it aired in 2012.
A virtual reality multiplayer online game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online was released in 2022, which allows people to control their avatars with their own bodies.
Of course, a dark twist arises and things go from there.
It’s eerily similar to metaverse When you think about it, but that doesn’t make watching it any less fun.
Additional option: Akira
Well, well, this isn’t a tech show, well, it’s definitely a show, not just in the TV genre, but I’d be remiss not to include it, because it’s on Netflix right now.
The 1988 movie Akria is perhaps one of the best anime titles ever released, so much so that you can still watch it in cinemas across the UK today.
Set in the year 2019, the story is fascinating in its own right, and follows a motorcycle gang leader, Shōtarō Kaneda, and his childhood friend, Tetsuo Shima, who has incredible telekinetic abilities.
Do we need to say more? Since you’re reading this article, it probably isn’t, so go watch it again. And of course, if this is your first time, then you have To watch this movie .
